A few essential things, stray dentists and doctor's appointments from my death defying antics of the previous week. I had some real medieval shit going on that week. I have no idea how I survived looking back. My finger still looks like it got caught in a meat grinder.
And I'm also starting my IVF this week. This means lots of prescriptions being filled, and a visit to the anaesthesiologist in Lyon. I also have to give up coffee and alcohol as soon as the May first bell dings, easy enough, right?
In between all this running around we're getting our roof redone, ordering materials which need to be delivered, uh, someplace. Here's a picture of our street just to show you that first of all it's impossible to convince a delivery truck to come down our steep street and deliver in front of our house, and second of all the neighbors would never agree to moving their cars off the narrow street for the time it would take the truck to come down, and thirdly where would we put the stuff anyway? It's not like we have a front yard! We've had to be very creative and audacious about all of this so far.

And as far as my social life, I think everyone I casually know or not has made a date with me and Baby S this week. My Turkish friend, my friend Bea, who I'm driving to Annecy to see and who we're staying the night with, and my neighbor Cassandra. I guess I can't complain but when it rains friends in April it pours.
Finally to end the busy week we're going to Tuscany on Saturday to meet up with Riana and Benji who have graciously invited us to stay in their little villa for a few days. I haven't been to Tuscany or Italy for that matter since the summer of 1998 and I'm really excited to show it to my guys. It's really beautiful. I need to brush up on my Italian phrases in between doctor appointments this week and I need to dig out a bathing suit, eek!
So anyway, I probably won't be blogging every day this week. I'll just be jotting down stuff in my little notepad, writing in my head as usual. Am I the only one who does this? I've actually considered getting a little tape recorder, but then I remembered that the Bulldozer did that, talked into a little tape recorder all the time. It was really egotistical. It kind of freaked me out that I may have something in common with him. Hey maybe he has a blog too. Oh and maybe I'm in his blog. That would be funny. I wonder what he calls me?

Busy busy busy!
But it sounds like a great week you have planned. And hello? Tuscany? Jellisssss...
And I, for one, would love to see you walking around with a dictaphone. Ha ha ha ha!
Yay to being in a social whirl! Exhausting I'm sure, but well worth it!
Sending you all the luck I can for your IVF. Will be thinking of you next month.
I just love the look of your street. So inviting and dare I say it French if not very practical.
Enjoy Italy...
Oh Tuscany will be so wonderful!
