We're finally back after our wonderful Italian excursion with Riana and Benji in the Tuscan countryside. I can't believe how many adventures we packed in over four short days. Our schedule was a bit like this:
nine am breakfast, doors open watching the morning mist dance around our valley view and checking to see if "wombat" ate our evening's offerings
dress and hit a major city, or maybe two, shop and eat lunch in said city dashing in little shops and taking photos of pretty much everything that didn't move
stop in any grocery store the guys will let us stop in on the way home to buy supplies of any and every kind: olives, cookies, fresh pasta, balsamic, coppa and prosciutto and of course olive oil
cook a huge meal full of grocery store "inspiration," killing scorpions and ants all the while and dining on a glorious apéro as we cooked
review the photos from the day and reminisce . . .
