Ask our contracter about the delay and he'll tell you it's this complicated tile we chose. Ask us and we'll tell you we think he's a little slow--precise but slow. It's probably a combination of both.
Here's some eye candy to show off what's coming. I should be putting this on my house blog but I'm having an impossible time keeping up three blogs so I've more or less decided to combine my house blog with this one.
And then here is our new door for upstairs going into one of the bedrooms. It was measured completely wrong of course and will have to be replaced. You can see my hand there stuck underneath (second photo). I guess the window/door company thought we wouldn't notice the eight centimeter gap. They just went ahead and installed it anyway! Oh what the heck! What's eight centimeters anyway? Things like this keep happening to us. We're still waiting on the guys to come out and fix our dodgy fireplace installation from one year ago. Pieces of it keep falling apart. Buyer beware! Never, ever pay up in advance. Tell them that you know someone whose door was eight centimeters too small. Tell them you know someone whose house was falling apart! Tell them all these horror stories and direct them to the blogs for proof!
