Choo-choo trains

Everything is going well with the family. They are loving seeing Little S and it helps me enormously that they are here to lend a hand.

On Sunday we went to see the Park Vapeur in Switzerland at the end of the lake near Villeneuve. Jess I know is probably reading this going "dang she went without me!" because she really wanted to go when she was here and since Little S was asleep in the car I wouldn't wake him up. Anyway it's this tiny amusement park dedicated to trains that are about 1/5 the size of the real thing. There are little cars attached to each train so you can take rides on them. They have replicas of the all the great Swiss trains, modern and ancient. It's also a hangout for enthusiasts and collectors of this scale of train and they come here to work on their trains, take rides on them and pretty much chat up their train buddies while dressed in overalls and neckerchiefs. Little S really loved it. He did still feel under the weather though so I thnk we'll have to bring him back one day soon.







There's also a village with a tiny restaurant, church and bank along the same scale and there's a miniature chateau with a small vineyard. Anyway it was a little silly but fun.
