Ugh I got a bad case of food poisoning Wednesday night and I'm pretty exhausted and on antibiotics. For all the gory details go to my pregnancy blog, When Push Comes to Shove in the sidebar and read all about it (direct link isn't working for some reason, sorry). Suffice to say that I survived and at certain points during a very long evening I was pretty sure I wouldn't and would die a very undignified death slumped over a hotel toilet.
Seb called from work this morning to say that the truck was arriving with our stuff. I figured we'd be given short notice. I was frustrated because I wanted to be there to help and watch it all get unloaded but with my current state I have a hard enough time walking to the bathroom let alone standing guard and I have to rest and think about the baby.
It's a good thing and I'm really excited about our getting setled in but I'm too busy celebrating surviving to get keyed up about something as mundane as possessions.
Excuse me while I go nap again. I'll update more later.

I hope everything is alright! I hope you feel better soon! L
UGH! food poisoning! Hopefully all that puking got the nasty bug out of you! I hope you start feeling better now!
And it's true! The port is all torn up. I walked down your street just a couple of days ago and was surprised by all the construction at the bottom. But it should be nicely renovated by the time you come back. :-)
I know the homesickness feeling. As much as I love it here, it was hard to go home to Canada for just 3 weeks...it was like a teaser, seeing family and friends again for such a short time.
But any time I start to feel down, I try to do as many cultural activities as I can...or anything different, for that matter, than what I would normally do at home. Then it becomes more of an adventure - trying to soak up the 'foreign' experiences.
