While we´re on the subject of blogs, I´m also getting sort of annoyed with the family blog. Lately the in-laws are all about the correcting the French and not so much about making nice, congenial comments on the posts. An example from my recent post about the new car (same post I did here yesterday, just copied over):
sil wrote a comment:
¨"Alors tu étais complètement paniquée dans les intersections sans panneaux de signalisation."
and then fil wrote a comment not long afterwards:
"Je vois que vous avez une belle voiture, que tu apprecies la conduite sauf au Mexique avec ses intersections sans panneaux"*
I had written "sans signes," rather than "panneaux" or rather Babelfish wrote that and I didn´t catch it because like I said before I let Babelfish do most of the translating for me and I correct the results. They know that I know that word, come on. Anyway, now nearly every single time they write a comment it´s to correct an error and I´m ready to send them back to the dictionary by just writing in English.
I´m annoyed today...sorry.
*fil is so stiff and formal in his comments it´s actually humorous. He really has no idea what to say !

That would be annoying. Did they actually bold the words themeselves? Because if they are bolding their corrections then it's time to lose the French blogging. Seriously. Who has time to make that kind of effort only to be corrected in the comments, in BOLD no less? And by your in-laws?!!. Sheesh.
As for the breastfeeding, the best way to get your supply up is go to bed with the baby and a huge bottle of water for a few days. Seriously. Pick a weekend, hand S over to your husband, and take to the bed/couch/whatever with Charlotte. Breastfeed constantly, stopping only to sleep and drink water.
And don't stress! What specifically has you worried about your supply? I am assuming the wonky doctor visit was about Charlotte's growth? Or they have you freaked out about Vitamin D or Iron or something. If she is wetting her diapers regularly and generally happy and looks healthy, you are doing a great job.
But if you don't think she's getting enough, nurse her more often and for as long as she wants. And find someone to help you out around the house!

haha! I'm sorry, but that cracks me up. Only because I know how you feel. While I was teaching the other day, the real 'maitre' insisted on correcting me every time I made a GENDER error. (Come on!) His enthusiasm caused the students to jump on the bandwaggon and I had trouble regaining control of the class. :-P
Do you let other people read your French blog or do you prefer to keep it for family?
What is it about French speakers? Our Swiss-french family and friends are the same way. While I appreciate learning how to speak properly (DH says I don't correct his English enough), I'm just learning and can never even get through a sentence/phrase because I'm being corrected so much. They don't realize how intimidating it is that you don't even want to try!
Cherise that is very intimidating and I had similar experiences when I first learned French. The Mexican are so very forgiving about learning Spanish and I love them for that. It´s made me brave!
