I never mentioned my favorite flower but I love daisies. I saw these huge beauties a week ago but it's really hard to get to these flowers without dodging trucks to get across to the median, and then of course leaving your children alone in the car beside a busy road while you go take flower pictures is never a very good parenting decision, so it was only with the help of Seb that I got this photo yesterday.
If only I could have asked the owner of that yellow VW bug (squint)to move his car closer up the street, it would have been a perfect picture but I am not the choreographer here so much as the faithful documentarian of what is around me.
I can't express how much I have loved this project and how much it has opened my eyes to what is around me. No it wasn´t just about the flowers but it was about the things I noticed while flower hunting-- places!, things!, animals!, bugs!. And in the flower hunting how wonderful the most boring of drives became because they were little challenges to find splashes of purple and yellow and "whoa what are those doing growing over there!?"
I am looking forward to doing this project again sometime, someplace.

hello, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog - I am near Geneva too!
Your blog looks and sounds wonderful, I will read more in depth when I have time - anyway, nice to meet you,

And thanks for coming over !
What a pretty picture. ALL of them actually are beautiful and it has been really neat following your 8 days in bloom project. I loved clicking on your blog and seeing a new picture of a pretty flower pop up on my screen.
I've never known much about flowers or gardening or plants or anything that has to do with the words petals, roots or seeds. But I do love colors (what a simpleton I am) and your pics where always splashed with beatiful and vibrant colors.
Can't wait to see what you'll next project will be!
Fned.
I think you'll like my next one. It's going to be very mexican !
Great shot and color. I especially love the prickly green stem.
