The layover

It has been a while since I've touched a keyboard. I'm in blogger rehab of sorts and it's been kind of refreshing. I think after living these near two months without daily access to the internet I can see how much the computer takes up my life. I don't intend to stop blogging but I hope to put a little bit of a cap on how much time I spend on the computer.

Enough of that! We are in our house!! Yes!! It's all very exciting and it wasn't without a ton of delays and dramas and even a flat out NO at one point from the bank. I'm lucky because Seb is the type of person who never takes no for an answer and I know he's always motivated by impossible situations so he pushed and pulled and finagled and there we stood with our paperwork in hand...somehow. I still have no idea how he did it because hardly anyone can get financed these days. I think we just got lucky somehow and squeezed in under the closing door.

The house is lovely and full of cracks and peeling paint and all that old dusty furniture that we are trying to clean up and keep or in some cases give away. The neighbor came for her armoire *sniffle* I was actually pleased afterward to be liberated of it because we have enough stuff already and I was getting worried about how much place it took up. She seemed so excited to have a piece of Madame R's furniture which was nice whereas to me it was more of a storage cupboard. We also gave them a desk and some chairs and then they came by last week with a super slide for Little S which is enormous and which he adores! It's funny how thing work out. I'm much happier with the slide for my little guy than the armoire in my hallway.

I have some catching up to do and some back posts to put on my blog. I kept up a diary for a few weeks just to keep in the habit of writing, but it became impossible because I soon become a full time cleaning lady here in the little domaine we've adopted. Anyway, tomorrow I'll start putting those old posts up and my pictures! I have so many pictures and so much catching up to do!!

Yay great to see you back... and with good news! I was starting to get worried!

It is funny how things wrk out, I'm a bit of a fatalist about these things. We're about to start the long journey of banks and house moving ourselves (see my diary) so I hope it turns out as well for us too :)

Nice to see you xxxx
