I've taken Little S out of Wednesday his judo class because he's really bored with it and getting him motivated to go was starting to get to me. I'm not a big fan of contact sports. Anyway now that we have Wednesday free we're going to start doing cultural things in the city once a week (when it warms up) and up until then we're going to do cultural stuff at home. I also want to get him started on the computer. My question is does anyone know any good online computer games for kids (preferably non-character related ie. no Dora please)??
And while I'm asking does anyone in Europe know a good mail order photo printing service because I really have to get on the printing photos thing. It's getting out of control.

Games: we use pbskids.org. The games are character related though but the sesame street ones aren't bad.
Photos: I use an Italian site that networks photographers around the country and love it because I get really well printed images by a photopher but can send them from my computer. You can try asking a local photographer if he/she has something like this.
Oh SS is okay. We like that.
I was just thinking of getting all the kids photos printed and eventually scrapbooked (yeah right!). Okay BIG eventually there. But anyway I just wanted something quick and dirty.
Hi
Lily used to use the french Boua et koala site for little games. Also if you want something in english I recommend starfall.com which has lots of pre-reading and reading activities
:)
We Use this site...It's in French and English

I recommend buying a cheap photo printer. You can pick them up for next to nothing these days and although you might run through the ink cartridges I find it more convenient than mail order. Also the printers often com with some photo editing software that is great for scrap-booking.
Cheers from Quebec,
Sue
I teach kindergarten and we use starfall, pbs, and

If you link to any kindergarten teacher websites, they often provide links.
I forgot-earobics and the National Geographic site.
Janet
Thanks. Those are all great links and Sue I have been thinking about getting one of those printers. I'm going to price them this weekend.
I use Photobox (www.photobox.fr) and am very happy with the quality/service. I have my pix on Picasa and you can upload and order pix directly from Picasa to Photobox which is convenient.
We like this children's site:

There are parts of the Noggin Website that we like, like Jack's Big Music Show.
My girls love the french site jeux.fr for on-line games...nothing syndicated there.
Thanks for posting this Christine. We tried some of the sites other people recommended and Jack loved them.
We're enjoying them too. Little S is hopelessly addicted to the computer now!
