Back home, sigh

We're back from paradise...

a week in the mountains near Italy but still in France. Seb found this great last minute deal and I'll admit I was really skeptical because those sort of things always sound good in the descriptions but never quite live up to themselves, but hey it turns out he hit the jackpot this time. For the price of about two weeks worth of groceries we lodged ourselves in a stylin four star resort apartment with a spa on site. Every day we spent 40 minutes in the sauna and hammam while the kids played in the indoor swimming pools and huge jacuzzis. Well not alone mind you. We took turns babysitting and racing off with towels wrapped around us. I think I'm addicted to these type of spa vacations now. We are soooooo relaxed.

Of course then we had to leave. And we had to come back to the house. And we had to face the nightmare of the Torn Out Kitchen, ewww.

Lucky you. You definitely deserved it. Now spill, how'd he find it. We all need spa retreats. Ignore the torn out kitchen and go to your zen place.

you wrote about perspective before you went, now you have it! and you came by it so beautifully. once you resurface, you will probably feel inspired and engaged, and who could ask for more from a summer getaway?!

Paulita - the deal was found on Last Minute dot com. The trouble is you have to make your plans at the last minute and you get the leftovers but the leftovers can be really good. It's at the end of the season too which is why it was so low!

jadie - :) yes we did get some perspective and it was really nice to spend time with the kids instead of bashing out walls and moving boxes!
