Greetings

In our family Fall birthdays rule and there are lots of cards to make which is always fun. I love making cards! This one is an Axel Scheffler inspired card I just made for my little nephew who turns five this month.

Of course if you make the card you have to make the envelope too. I'm getting pretty good at that part but the first few cards I made left me running around in vain trying to find something to put it in. It actually pretty fun to make the envelopes too.

If you do make cards or if you want to start it's a good time to grab some quality cardstock paper in the back to school supplies, at least in France that is. Otherwise I just use watercolor paper.

I love it! I never make cards (lazy) but honestly I think that is so much better than buying them, and you have just inspired me to try...

Yes you should definitely give it a try. It's really addictive and the response is always better than a bought card! I use scrapbooking techniques and of course drawing which is my main medium but you can do lots of fun stuff without drawing.
