These are just a few of the sketch pages from our vacation which mostly consist of drawings of Italian food. I imagined I'd be out sketching wildflowers and the vast landscapes but the reality was that chasing two kids made drawing nature themes impossible. I think I drew one alpine flower the whole trip. Oh well, I have lots of sketches of our apartment!
My book is nearly full and it's Fall. That was my little non-goal goal and I've nearly made it. It wasn't all that difficult, at least not as difficult as I imagined. Now I find myself even having to slow down so I don't get to the end before I find another journal. I'd hoped that Carrefour would do another promotion on these but I haven't seen them since. This one has all the right doo-dads, --great binding, sleek white paper that glides under my pen, heavy grade stock, good size and a super bargain price at only one euro. I wish I could go back in time and buy all of them.
It's time for a shopping trip to the big city if I can't find one. I'm not a huge fan of Moleskine because of the yellow paper and because(and this sounds weird) the corners are rounded and that kind of bugs me. Actually I'm just worried that I won't get along with my new journal. Mine is so nicely broken in! Pout.
