I get to cart this little munchkin on the train to Lyon for five freaking hours today. Can someone please tell me why it takes two hours and forty minutes one week to get to from Lake Léman to Lyon's suburbs and then a few weeks later it takes FIVE hours?More importantly why didn't I even register this when the woman from SNCF sold me the ticket? That's like going halfway to China. Holy patchouli!
Those poor, tired passengers. They'll have some stories to tell their husbands and wives tonight.

Oh no! Sounds like you got a seat on the dreaded Corail! Those things move like snails and stop in every bumfuck town along the way. Good luck with the voyage.
you look like a little kid yourself miss chris, so young:)

Ah but that is wrong, there is alcohol at least on the swiss trains. Misschrisc - try looking at the www.sbb.ch site. It does a good job on showing you your options on when to travel. I'm guessing you must have gotten a slow train instead of one that goes to the bigger towns..
I hope your ride was not so bad!
The 5 hour train ride does indeed suck. But at least they weren't on strike. ;o)
Take lots of snacks and some rope to tie him up just in case...oh, and a gag...GOOD LUCK, to you. Believe me when I tell you, I understand.
Oh!!! Thank God it isn't me!!
Oh those days of travelling with a monster...I mean baby!! No baby could be as WILD as my son Sacha was at 15 months!! I am still red with embarassment and that was 12 years ago!! He screamed and kicked and growled the entire flight to California!!
I feel for you and wish you luck!!
You poor things, that sucks...you could be on my doorstep in less time! Ouch!
Hope you were able to amuse yourselves somehow...have a nice weekend!!
