They howled like banshees when we left

Yesterday I went swimming at the local pool with my friend Huri and her son Little M.

Yep crazy us, we took two toddlers to a swimming pool with slippery floors, 2.5 meter basins, bored teenage lifeguards, and changing rooms a toddler can open with a flick of a wrist always fun chasing them through the unisex locker rooms in your skivvies while praying no one steals your purse. I think we were very brave. I think upon leaving the complex if we had done something like oh, I don't know, robbed a bank with hairdryers or stolen a posh car and gone joyriding, we could have easily pleaded insanity and been given our liberty. Well, as long as our judge turned out to be a woman that is. A man probably would have sent us to the clink saying we were spoiled, getting to go swimming all day and all.

Here are some cute pictures, of which about 100 were taken and only three didn't come out blurry or with a split second turned head. It was a combo of toddlers having that short attention span (think dragonfly) and then my slow camera where you can actually whistle Dixie between the moment you push the shutter and the picture gets registered:

Incidentally Huri also took lots of pictures with my camera but they mysteriously weren't on there when I went to download them. I don't think the poor dear is very digital savvy. She kept trying to put the screen up to her eye the whole time despite my gentle suggestions that she need not with these new-fangled television style cameras. She's a little sweetheart. I just love her.

so nice! I'd be hitting that place a lot but then again, I've taught toddlers and been a swimmer my whole life (well minus the last 5 years where I've refused to go in the pool much)...

I've got the opposite problem with one of my girls, she howls if I try and take her near a pool. But she has to go anyway, with the school. Those boys look like they are having fun, I bet the moms did too.

Hey where are you? I know it has been a while since I have visited (sorry, got bit by the grumpy bug), but isn't it my job not to post for awhile? ;o)

All joking aside, I really do hope that all is ok with you and your family. Hope to see you back again soon! =o)
