Done

I've finished my first sketchbook and I'm so excited. Seven months of drawing nearly every day!

I'm really eager to keep at it so I've ordered a new book which I hope to fill by Spring (but there's no real goal or anything, ahem). My new book, a Moleskine large size sketchbook, corresponds sizewise to my old book but I'm still dubious about it. As you can see mine is really broken in and has no pretentions. I carry it everywhere and yes the spine is cracked, á la Wreck This Journal so it's really comfortable and you can peel it back and hold it just so. It's been my little friend for months, all covered in treasure hunted stickers and my collage of the lovely Diane de Poitiers. I'll miss it.

Here are some of my last few pages, a mish-mash of sketches of some of my favorite subjects.

I love how it is like a diary of sorts! How inspiring!!

Thanks, it's just by chance that these are the pages with writing on them. I don't always write on my drawings but sometimes I find I do and there's an awful urge to say something. I think I'm fifty-fifty verbal/visual so that's part of it.

Your sketches seriously remind me of Danny Gregory's. Anyway insipried by him?

Well actually it was YOU who told me about his blog. It was a happy coincidence that I was into drawing my feet and the things under the bed at the time. I think it was him and Michael Nobbs' Flickr books which inspired me to get all crazy and draw the contents of my entire house with footnotes (which I'm still doing btw)

Anywho thank you for the recommendation ;)
