While I was at my mother in law's going through photos I came across a photo of Seb as a baby and was really struck with how much he looks like Charlotte at the same age. They're like twins!
It's terrible to have such blonde children and have dark hair like mine. Everyone makes the same remarks "the papa must be really blonde!" to which I sometimes say "no c'est le facteur!" My doctor even thought for a while that Charlotte was adopted and on the last visit she said "remind me what country you adopted her from again?" I burst out laughing. Charlotte has no French healthcare papers yet so she just assumed we'd brought her back from our travels to Mexico. A little blonde Mexican!

I remember a couple of years ago when my MIL got all indignant because there was a photo of Kilian lying around that she didn't have. I was all, that isn't Kilian, that's me. Boy she looked surprised. It didn't even occur to her that the photo was printed out on old paper.
My daughter on the other hand, is the spitting image of her (my MIL). It's quite comical.
Those are some super strong genes you husband has!
I'm currently slowly going back to blonde with my hair, partly because the kids are blonde. It's funny how that works. Both kids got my eyes though so they do look like me anyway ;)
WOW! I almost thought that first picture was Charlotte and then I noticed the part. You never part her hair like that!!
That similarity is amazing!
I've also got a little clone of her Papa. I have pictures of him at her age and they're identical. It's weird. She's not blond, more light brown, but white as can be so with somewhat hispanic/mediterranean/middle eastern-looking me, I get quizzical comments about her origins as well. Or rather, people probably think I'm the nanny.
They do look a lot alike. Emma is my little clone, except she's the brown version of pasty me.
